This has to stop

In the post today: more yarn. Yes, more! Silly, isn’t it. I must stop.  Soon…

…ish…

I have five balls of Drops Alpaca, which I managed to get for £2.50 a ball. I am planning a Fox Paws scarf and may just have to cast on this very day…

I am not at all sure that I have selected the right colours, there are two blues that barely contrast at all – the perils of buying online. So, you see, I really need to cast on with immediate effect in order to test the shades together and to see if I need to buy an alternative.

That is my excuse and I plan to stick to it.

It will be good to have some straight needle knitting to turn to as my current projects are really causing my hands some grief.

Yesterday, I was certain that I would be working on my Comfort Blanket. Unfortunately I arrived at Spinning Group without it. I have no idea how I managed that. Fortunately I had packed Warriston as I planned to show off how well it was growing. I had just enough yarn with me to keep me going for the afternoon.

When I got home again I found that the drug of fast growth kept me addicted and I went on knitting, joining in ball number three and taking the sweater to bed with me when we went off to watch Better Call Saul. Warriston is now 14″ long and approaching the armholes (at 17″). It is growing like a weed! I am reasonably confident now that seven balls will be enough.

Our Broadband connection is running like a dog with no legs today. I have no idea if this post will manage to upload. On the bright side, well, it’s bright today – the sun is shining for a change.

Also on the bright side, yours truly is feeling much brighter today too. I abandoned my fast yesterday and took to bed with the lappie, Saul, Warriston, a bottle of wine and some crisps. Today was the first day in over  a week that I woke without a headache. I wonder if it might have been my salt levels that were lacking? Whatever; I am pleased to be feeling better, energetic once again and in a more positive frame of mind.

We are not catching up on the fast day today and will simply opt to do one day this week, on Thursday as normal. I may get back on the treadmill today, after a week off it.
