Target failure

alhambra2-thb It is becoming clear that the Alhambra scarf will not be finished today. I have 14.5 repeats done, and the thing is therefore 85% complete, assuming I do not decide to lengthen it. It really is going slowly now. This may have something to do with the fact that I took three breaks from it today to spin some yarn 🙂

Ah well, the end is in clear sight now and it will certainly be cast off some time tomorrow if I don’t achieve a spurt later on today and romp to the end after all. It really doesn’t seem likely that I shall, my hands are  aching considerably now, and I have to go out shortly.

I am lagging on the Month in the Country prompts, and lagging badly at that. I have a list of prompts t be caught up on and I shall be working my way through them here, or at Scattered Thoughts depending on where the post most naturally sits. I have elected to tackle the prompts not in date order necessarily but to seize upon prompts that offer me space in which to write down the things that I am feeling the need to say.
