Life continues to throw more demands at me than I have time to give to them. Nonetheless, there is knitty progress to report. A burst of therapeutic knitting late last night saw the first of the Very Terhi mitts completed and 4,000 stitches (7 rounds) added to the Pi Shawl Blanket. It was very late when I went to bed but I felt very much soothed by the mindless circles of plain knitting, so it was time well spent.
I’m going to carry on with the Pi until my arm starts to complain again – but I won’t knit past that point this time; it’s futile and ultimately unproductive. I just want to urge it towards the earliest possible completion, and get it onto the bed before the cold weather sets in. The second mitt will materialise at some point and will no doubt gain the odd few rows when it isn’t possible to heave the big blanket project out.
The weekend starts here. A bottle of wine, a pack of cards, the crib board, and the duvet beckon. The rest of the weekend will involve several pots of paint, and very little yarn.
