4ply Lambswool and Silk

New stash from Kingcraig Fabrics.

This is an 850grm cone of 75% lambswool/25% silk. I am planning to knit myself a top from this, and also several pairs of fingerless mitts.

How odd that the yarn should be so close in shade – honestly just a coincidence! And much closer in reality than my photograph of the yarn suggests…

I plan to skein and wash this yarn prior to knitting. That’s going to provide one or three challenges…

I have a list of prompts t be caught up on and I shall be working my way through them here, or at Scattered Thoughts depending on where the post most naturally sits.
