And we have a winner! (or two)

Results of the draw to win my Annis shawl.

FO: Amalia Shawl

I fell for this one – hook, line and sinker, just as soon as I ever laid eyes on it. It even seduced me to the point that I sent away for specially selected yarn, rather than dipping into the stash and making do. Amalia is a flamboyent piece and definitely needed a bold splash of colour.

WIP it Quick

Today’s Wednesday WIP is all but a Friday FO, in fact. This Amalia Shawl was cast on at the weekend and I finished it off at Spinning today, casting it off after the ladies went home. I knew as soon as I saw the pattern released on Ravelry that I wanted to make this shawl. …

FO: Moss on my Shoulders

Woolgatherers will know that I have been honoured to be selected by Rosematy (Romi) Hill as one of her test knitters. The Merope Shawl, recently completed, was my first test knit for Romi – this little sock weight shoulder shawl is my second. I made mine in Posh Yarn’s Elinor yarn and I added some size 6/0 beads from my bead stash.

FO: Frozen Leaves

FOs are falling off my needles faster than leaves drop from the trees in Autumn, or so it seems. The only trouble is that I do not have the time to document them properly right now.

This week’s cursory FO post is Frozen Leaves.

FO: Mere

This is my first test knit for Designs by Romi. The shawl pattern is named Merope and is one of a forthcoming set of seven small shawls, all named after the Pleiades.

Merope is available now as a single purchase or as part of the yet-to-be-completed e-book series
