There was a fabulous “crack ‘o doom” sunrise today. I missed the best of it due to feeding the dogs. Anybody else would have said boo to the dogs and grabbed their camera. My dogs are collies however and have me trained to understand their need and compulsion for routine. So. I missed the glorious …

365:10 …and if one should fall
I had really hoped for some rich warm lights from a low sun for today’s shot. I waited all morning, without luck, and then took my shots with lunch cooking in the oven. Of course, the sun came out whilst we were eating. Naturally it went back again by the time that we had finished. …
No more naughtiness
The last of the cake and the end of the Wensleydale. From tomorrow we return to a sensible diet.
365:9 The Dragon’s Hoard
According to Wikipedia’s entry on “9” : Nine is strongly associated with the Chinese dragon, a symbol of magic and power. This dragon has been subjected to my lens previously, but never before with his hoard. He’s a little wet – must have been for a swim before posing.
Needle and ribbon
I could be tempted out by the glorious light today but I have just been to feed the chooks and decided that it is warmer in the “studio”. I set this shot up on the way to today’s nybblets 365 image. One day I shall get around to completing my cushion cover.
365:8 Sew, a needle…
If I were really clever I would have arranged to have the selvedge in this shot – on the other hand one Blip can only handle so many puns. Sol, one of the eight notes of the tonic sol-fa, or solfege – expressed by that great National Treasure, Julie Andrews, as: “Sew, a needle pulling …
Roll Again
NOT the same image as the one I did for my nybblets 365. I washed the (very grubby!) die and reshot. I’m in two minds about which shot I prefer, so I left the 365 where it was and this is here for completeness.
365:7 Do or Die
The opposite faces of a die always add up to 7 – or “what’s behind the 3? a 4” – a sneaky way of meeting DDW’s January challenge 11 behind. Well, it was this or a dish of 7 candles to celebrate making my way to the end of a full week of 365. I …
Cracked
I shot half a dozen eggs for today’s 365, then made a quiche or lunch. An opportunity to meet the DDW January Challenge 21, “Cracked”
365:6 Six of the best
The obvious choice for “Six” but no apologies as I feel that my girls in the garden deserve regular recognition for the gifts that they give us. One more and I shall have a full week in. Showing previously unheard-of discipline for a change.
