Focus

A major push on my Cascading Leaves Shawl brought it to three quarters done last night. I am perfectly happy to admit to feeling cheesed off with it now and I have been casting about for some light relief. Then I checked in with William’s blog… and decided to take my lead from him. I am knuckling down and focusing and I intend to push this thing to the finish line. I’m now at 80% and after I have had this coffee, I’ll knit to 90%…

William won his race, having run 805Km in seven days. He missed most of his targets, but did set new age group records for his group (Male, over 55 years.)

Sadly the target that he got least close to beating was his fund-raising target. As a cancer survivor, he was raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. His target of £1,000 seemed very modest, given the amount of effort that he was putting in.

Amount raised so far? Just £135.

Eight Hundred and Five Kilometers. On his own two feet. In seven days.

One hundred and thirty-five quid.
