My Films: Day 14

These posts have stopped showing up at Facebook and I can’t quite figure out why. I am not investing much effort in today’s until I see if the problem is fixed.

Today’s offering could not be more different to yesterday’s although both are American, in colour, and have music attached. Contrasts are good, yes?

Carousel, 1956

This must have been one of the very first films that I ever saw. Maybe one of my very first trips to the local cinema, I must have been very young at that time. It was sad and I cried. It remains one of the very few Musicals that I can get on with.

Definitely better than Ghost – and Gordon MacRae had a fabulous voice.

Mummy Partridge is in this one.

At the moment we are hoping to go out for at least one night every week in continuing efforts to break the cats in (or down!) Mr Snail was cleaning the bathroom. Although we haven’t used the shower we had… Continue reading Van Nessa : Her Leak
