Affected by the Blues

I am struggling badly with the Trifecta Challenge this week:

Trifecta: Week Sixty-Nine

INFECT

3a : contaminate, corrupt <the inflated writing that infects such stories>

b : to work upon or seize upon so as to induce sympathy, belief, or support <trying to infect their salespeople with their enthusiasm>

Please remember:

  • Your response must be between 33 and 333 words.
  • You must use the 3rd definition of the given word in your post.
  • The word itself needs to be included in your response.
  • You may not use a variation of the word; it needs to be exactly as stated above.

This is not entered (yet). I would rather come up with a bit of flash fiction, if I can. I’ll link this in if the Inspiration Fairy fails to visit in the next couple of days.

Two people
inhabiting a single space
one tract of time –
yet different worlds.

Receive my lenses;
allow them to infect your vision –
Cerulean sky, a lark above;
here, just beyond your Prussian cloud.

Petunias always make me think of Dinghies

It has been a busy day, not much time for anything. We walked the dog this morning but I took no photographs until I decided to take a few potshots in the village on our way back.
