I wish I had a less boring image for my 100th blip, I really do. However, this image is representative of my day and will have to do. I’ve been plying – a job made so much faster and easier with this nifty little electronic spinner. I love being able to use the jumbo bobbins …

Hackling
We have been working in the studio today – this flying hand belongs to my Sanday Spinners partner Gill, who was working at the hackle blending colours to make a gorgeous hand-pulled roving. My task was to document the process and to practise my colour reproduction skills with my camera.
A bad blip day
You know it’s been a bad day when you have to resort to blipping your lunch: Lentil Soup (it was delicious)
In a spin
Spinning Group has moved to Monday mornings at 10:30. Far too early in the week for me to have my act together but I did manage to attend this week. That’s my wheel front and centre, plus some of the spinners present today. Normally I share the photo of the cake but today’s cake was …

Big Sky
This afternoon’s light enticed me out to try a couple of sky shots

Selfie – me and Elsie
Dashed out to try and capture the sky this morning. Turned round to come back indoors and saw my shadow on the house. Why not, I thought to myself… Elsie decided to join me when the timer was running. I see there’s a small part of Jack in the shot too!

Getting thing straight
I’ve been blogging about my new tripod. The photos that I took are a bit iffy. What can I say… clearly my tripod was otherwise engaged! The truth is that I hurt my back this morning when I took the rubbish down the gate in the dark and slipped in the mud and seaweed. I’ve …
