Today’s Snail Mail – one from Wales, the other from the USA – both sported attractive stamps. I love the Mr Bumble one. The whole “USA forever” thing makes me gag a little, though.

Knitter’s Curiosity Cabinet Vol 2
My sample knitting came home to roost while I was out on Tuesday. This time, Hunter sent back one of each pair, plus yarn to make a third of each. The mitts I don’t mind about but I really hated knitting those socks. Not sure I can bring myself to make a third. Mind you, …
Stranger in town
Took my camera to town in the belief that it would help me to pass the six hours between boats. In the vent, I kept myself busy and found no time to take a photograph at all, so the only time that the camera came out was as the ferry approached Kirkwall.
Buoy 4
On the approach to Stronsay. The Sanday Soulka Committee chartered the Varagen today and we sailed over to Stronsay and down and around Auskerry. A beautiful sunny day and a great party atmosphere. A bit short on wildligfe to photograph, though. Some saw porpoise and otehrs saw puffins. I saw neither.
Open Studio
We held an Open Studio event for the Sanday Soulka. Saturday was such a gorgeous day that we took our wheels outside and spun in the sun. This is Gill, carding some Jacob to spin on her Wee Peggy wheel.
Something to celebrate

Monstrous
I was in town yesterday to do some shopping for this weekend’s meal – also in town, more than a few of the 3,200 passengers on this monstrous thing. The Caribbean Princess is the largest cruise liner ever to berth at Kirkwall. Had my boat arrived sooner, we would have had a far more interesting …
A different obsession
Blipping may be well hampered this week – it’s MUMS Puzzle Hunt week and we shall be busy scratching our heads. The puzzles were released at 3am our time and there are 55 teams on the board, who have been beavering away while we slept, with at least one solve so far. At the time …
