I made Muffins today. No, I am not going to give them the unnecessary appellation “English Muffins” – a muffin is a muffin and a bun is a bun, except if you’re posh and then it’s a Fairy Cake, or so they tell me. I wouldn’t know, not being posh me’sen.
I like to treat these traditionally and split them by tearing, not cutting, then toast the insides only. With some butter, a little Marmite and a poached egg, they make a fabulous weekend breakfast.
A Baker’s Dozen aka Big Dozen, or Long Dozen. There won’t be 13 for long.
What on earth can I come up with for 14?
