Daily Prompt: The Normal

Is being “normal” — whatever that means to you — a good thing, or a bad thing? Neither?

Oh, how could I miss responding to this one?

It has long been my cry, that I would rather be dead than be normal. To be normal is to be average. I do not wish to be merely average. I want to be splendid; to be excellent. I also find outrageous to be appealing. My ambition is to be a mad old bat when I reach my dotage. I want to be fabulously eccentric.

Really, why would you settle for normal. Why be one of the herd, when you can stand out from the crowd instead and be different.

Look at me. I was here. I lived. I LIVED; and I was wearing purple right there, right at the far end of that old bell curve. That was me. Wasn’t I magnificent! A real one-off.

That’s the plan, anyway.
