Well, colour me amazed. The order that I placed on Tuesday night was dispatched on Wednesday and between them, Amazon and the Royal Mail did their stuff, with the luvverly Norma delivering my books this morning. Well done to all concerned!

I have been watching the DVD from Crust and find myself thinking that Brioche for Christmas morning would be just the thing…

I have not had time to flick through the books yet – I shall be doing that over a mug of coffee once I  have dealt with my sour dough again. Verdict later.

I’ll tell you something… after viewing the Crust DVD, I am all fired up to attempt Richard’s very elongated sour dough loaf process. It looked like some amazing bread.
