Evenstar 2:1

The second instalment of Evenstar was released at 6pm last night. There is one chart of 34 rounds, worked over 280 stitches – so there are 4 setup rows, with the stitches first being doubled to 288, then reduced to 280. I executed the setup rows, then set the work aside until today. Am currently on the 15th round of the chart.

Clearly there is no necessary rush to complete the chart, with the next instalment being two weeks away. I plan to give it a rest now and have an early night. I think that I would like to finish this chart tomorrow, though. I don’t need to spin it out – there is plenty else for me to be doing. I’m not one for bitting and bobbing, despite appearances to the contrary! So, I’ll prioritise the completion of this chart and then either return to Jessie Lambdin, or resurrect the white project (I believe that charts will be out by tomorrow.)

Whatever I choose to do, it needs to be non-taxing as I am feeling well under par at present. Fortunately, the Evenstar chart is remarkably non-taxing! It has been an easy trot through the last 14 rounds, with minimum tinking – and that only due to husband-static 😉

That is not to say that progress has been trouble-free. There have been struggles with the needles. I do now finally appear to have those sorted, by dint of experimentation with right and left hands and changes of cables.

There will be photos soon, perhaps tomorrow but more likely on Monday.

Now, the big question is: halfway through the chart – lifeline? or leave it until the end?

It has been a busy day, not much time for anything. We walked the dog this morning but I took no photographs until I decided to take a few potshots in the village on our way back.

Van Nessa : Her Leak

Home from Melle, we set about cleaning the van in preparation for going out again. At the moment we are hoping to go out for at least one night every week in continuing efforts to break the cats in (or down!) Mr Snail was cleaning the bathroom. Although we haven’t used the shower we had… Continue reading Van Nessa : Her Leak

Deeply disappointed by our early return from the Dordogne and buoyed up by slightly cooler weather we effected our plan to go out “little and often” in an attempt to train the cats for living in the new van. I’m probably too late to say this – but lifeline definitely! 🙂

Well, I would, if I thought that I could summon enough energy. It feels like just too much effort right now. I think I am in a decline 🙂

      Are you home now?
