After some time spent pondering the logistics, and then implementing a Heath Robinson affair of a solution, I spent a productive afternoon skeining almost 2 kilograms of yarn from cones.
I’m ready to wash them now – all that I need is a suitable spell of weather. It may be a long wait.
The grey yarn is alpaca and is wonderful – I can’t wait to cast on with it. The cream is a cotton and cashmere blend and I plan to dye it before knitting – probably in an Indigo bath.
