Mr L arrived home on this morning’s ferry with our new-to-us camper van. She’s in her middle years, I reckon, at 22 but she seems a game old bird.

We had a run up the island in her this afternoon and enjoyed some startlingly unseasonable weather at Lopness. The dogs behaved well – Suzie on a leash at my feet and Nell stretched out on the fixed bed. If only we could have worked out how the stove works, we might have had our picnic then instead of at home.

I reckon the van needs a name. She’s German… Brunhilde?
