Rain dear? So, when I got off the boat today and walked out of the harbour road, I saw a pair of reindeer on leashes, going for a walk. Naturally I whipped out my Nexus phone, bought for me by my DH for just such an eventuality in order that I am never without a camera when faced by a striking or unusual occurrence. Of course, by the time that I had turned it on and it had booted up, the reindeer were well out of the frame…

I knew however that Santa and his sled-pulling friends were to be found at Shearer’s in Kirkwall, so I went to find the fuzzies after I had fulfilled my appointment at the hospital. This time I had the phone at the ready.

I really must figure out how to use the camera function. So far I have been very disappointed with the images.
