We went to town yesterday and were rewarded by finding a pork pie remianing in Donaldson’s. To be fair, it doesn’t look like any pork pie I have ever seen before but this is Orkney and this is a first – so no complaints!
My hopes are high but the list of ingredients does suggest some important omissions for a classic pork pie – such as Allspice.
Now all that I need are some home pickled onions!
I have to say that Mr L is overly excited and keeps asking if it’s time to eat yet…
