I could not resist these onions when I saw them in the shop the other day. It’s French Onion Soup for lunch today. I wish that I had checked my images before starting cooking, though. I shall have to try an onion shot again in the future and attempt to improve on the appearance of the cut face.
ETA: I just realised that there is no indication of scale here – that plate is 10″ wide and the onions are [i]huge.[/i]
