Fleeting lightThere’s a saying about the weather in Scotland – if you wait 20 minutes it will change. Well, the light is ever more fleeting and elusive.

I let the dogs out after their breakfast and noticed how beautifully pearly the filtered light was over Elsness. A chance to grab that shot without burning out the highlights!

I popped back inside the door, picked up my camera, added a card and went out again. By this time of course the light had changed and the sun had moved closer to the break in the clouds. The effect had gone but I still took a photograph.
