Coos, A - XIt was the island’s annual Stock Judging competition today and our first attempt. We didn’t do well but we didn’t do too badly either and both of us scored over half marks. I beat Mr L, as of course is only right. Out of 8 pens, I managed full marks for one. Not this one.

Good fun and we’ll be back to improve our performance next year.

(We judged cattle and sheep pens. Each pen had 4 animals, marked A, B, X and Y. The task is to judge the stock in order of quality as predertermined by an invited judge.)
