“Door” (unlike “Never Forget”) is most definitely a prompt that I can work on – usually. Like many, I have a passion for doors and have hundreds of archive images of doors – be they ornate, elegant, decaying, splendid or humble. I just love them. So, normally, I would wander off with camera in hand and find a new door to capture.

Alas, we remain on site at Base Camp and there’s not a good door to be seen, plus I haven’t time, mental space, or energy available right now to be deployed in such an exercise (it’s an almost 5 Km walk down to the village and back.)

It’s a bit depressing. I would have had fun.

Reluctantly, I offer you an incredibly boring door!

This is the incredibly boring door of our static van (aka The Shack). It’s only merit is to offer a view of our mobile van… all now packed and ready for the off tomorrow morning.
