I cannot claim that I Never Forget to post a response to a given prompt, it’s far more likely that I simply can’t find time to fit it in, or lack any inspiration for/interest in it.

Never Forget” is definitely not a prompt that sparks my interest!

Happily, something that fits the bill has cropped up. We were busy packing our van in preparation for our Autumn/Winter/Spring trip. We had thought that we were about ready and were planning to leave on Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning of this week. We are still here; you may have noticed that…

Mr L was packing the boot space and happened to look up. He hightailed it indoors and asked me when we had last had our awning out. I couldn’t remember, so I looked at my images in Polarsteps and could confidently say “Préfailles Bichon” closely followed by “Why?”

Our awning beam and winder handle were not in their appointed places. We had left them behind!

This constituted a crisis, given the circumstance.

A new handle and beam were swiftly ordered and we have been awaiting delivery, unable to depart until they arrived – which they have done just now. They are now safely stowed in the van and we are ready to go.

We leave tomorrow, and you may rest assured that we shall Never again Forget to check under the van before leaving a site! It proved to be a costly error.
