Do I have one? I can’t think of one right now. I have the usual unattainable wishes, just the same as most people, so it is hardly a secret in hoping for a better world.

Let us just type, and see what comes out…

Wishes seem too akin to prayers, neither will answer themselves. Hope is the thing that I cling to but action is the answer. I feel too old and tired to be much of an activist but I do my best to call things as I see them, when the opportunity arises. I have spent a lifetime standing up for the downtrodden and the bullied. I just don’t seem to be able to stop myself. Even on the Internet, my head is often over the parapet on Facebook and in forums. The bile however, depresses me.

My not so secret wish is that every single one of us, the whole world over, can learn to live and let live – and to embrace all that is “other,” because hate arises from fear.

Now, how the heck do I illustrate this with a photo? I have to go to the archive today and not capture something new. And I have an idea!

That’s interesting. I searched for this photo in my Google account, despite not being able to fully recall the name of the town where I took it. I knew that it began with an N, possibly followed by an A, and the Search in Google Photos did the rest for me – only for me to discover that I took this photograph one year ago today, in Nagold, Germany.

They know how to do things in Nagold.

Seems like it was meant to be? If I had nothing to photograph today, one having its first anniversary would seem an appropriate substitute.
