Hard on the heels of the Wine Fairy came the Flower Fairy. Am I not  a lucky girl?

As expected, I have not heard back from the OU yet so it seems certain that I shall not be starting AA100 in October. I have taken symbolic action though and am now committed by virtue of having placed an Amazon order for the set books and DVD.

I even acquired the set book for the follow-on module! I say “acquired” as being a Classic, it was available for the Kindle reader with a price tag of £0.00. I cannot say that I am enthusiastic: Hard Times is not my idea of a fun read. It does have one saving grace – “It is by far the shortest of Dickens’ novels, barely a quarter of the length of those written immediately before and after it.[1]

Dickens has forever been a struggle for me. This may be a sign that I am pursuing entirely the wrong course. Perhaps I should run away now.
