Mr L has developed a real crush on the flatbread recipe that I picked up from the BBC site the other week. That suits me just fine as they are so very simple to make and incredibly fast to knock up – plus the changes can be rung very easily. Today we are making ham sandwiches with them, so I used white flour and a topping of cheese and mustard seeds.
Filled with ham and salad later, with a side of chips and mayo
We are considering investing in a second baking stone so that I can make up a double batch.
The Scattered Thinker is somewhat past her prime, but not yet in any danger of giving up. In the Inter-world, she is often known as plumbum, or sometimes as ulygan. In the Real Life, she goes by the name of Beth.
Beth is a roamer. She lives in a motorhome and has a backup static caravan that serves as a bolthole if needed. Bricks and mortar are very much a thing of the past.
