I am considering  buying a little camera to keep in the kitchen drawer, for taking pot shots at, er, my pots and things when I am cooking. I find that I do not like getting flour  and dough all over my good cameras.

So, advise me – recommend a good affordable compact that will produce no-fuss snapshots of my food. I’d want good quality colour reproduction and plenty of pixels to allow for cropping.

It’s couscous today, with fried halloumi cheese and a sort-of-ratatouille. A crusty loaf is also in production, with a plan for ham and coleslaw sandwiches at tea time.
