Bits of this, bits of that

I have Bitza Bread under way this morning – it’s made of bits of this and bits of that, using my flour ends. So there is some of the Malted Blend, some of the Rustic country and some of the Unbleached White… with extra malty bits thrown in.  The dough seems very well-tempered. It’s a chilly grey day, for a change; the rising may take a while.

I have an egg glut – there may be other baking happening today. If I can get out to the shop for some milk there will certainly be a caramel custard for our tea. It’s a big If, though. Treacle the Cat is ill and keeps falling over. I seem to be spending most of my time keeping him safe and upright.
