If you could have any author –living or dead – write your biography, who would you choose?
Oooh, that’s a tough one.
Either Margaret Atwood – she is my favourite author and if she wrote my bio, I might get to meet her.
Or Alan Bennett, because he is simply marvellous. Also because he has the ability to render the worst bits without pathos and to wring dry humour from the worst of tales.
On balance, much as I hero worship Atwood, it’s got to be Bennett, hasn’t it?
The Scattered Thinker is somewhat past her prime, but not yet in any danger of giving up. In the Inter-world, she is often known as plumbum, or sometimes as ulygan. In the Real Life, she goes by the name of Beth.
Beth is a roamer. She lives in a motorhome and has a backup static caravan that serves as a bolthole if needed. Bricks and mortar are very much a thing of the past.
