Still here

The weather took such a toll of my mood yesterday that I got very little prep done. The pudding is made and just needs decorating – it’s a lemon flavoured take on Tiramisu and probably already exists under a known name but I have not heard of it, so this is my invention.

We kept the power all night and the winds are easing now but the sea is pouring into the garden. We may have little track surface left after this. Postie could not reach us and nor, I fear, will the local carrier this morning – I am waiting my bread flour supplies.

There remains the best part of an hour to high tide, so the sea is going to be coming in for about two hours in total. We may be stuck here for a few days while things drain. There’s no point in worrying about it. We shall light the fire, have a bit of an adventure, watch the waves, and comfort ourselves with baking and the Logica Armchair Treasure Hunt.

What are you up to this weekend?

    1. Indeed. But I think you may underestimate the scale… I sent you one pic but I couldn’t get good ones. I am NOT taking the Canon out in that salt spray. The pocket cam is acting up and took two shots with the lens cover part closed. It won’t zoom either.

      1. Wow, I’d definitely say the road was blocked!
BTW, that’s pretty good for not a good pic! 🙂

  1. I went out again, after we saw Marika turn back. If she couldn’t tackle the road in her big vehicle…

It’s going to take a bit of cleaning.
