There was knitting this weekend!
Fair enough, it was only a very little – but knitting there was. I added a few peaks to my Hap shawl while SpinningGill worked on her doyly. I think there may be further knitting later today as it’s one of those comfort-seeking days – though, to be honest, I should be painting – I have homework to do. My excuse shall be that it is such a gloomy day that the light is too poor for painting. I am running out of time though – one week of two available has passed already.

Basically, yes – with the addition of veg stock cubes as I had no stock made, a wee pinch of thyme and loads of Black pepper
A dollop of crème fraiche on the top and some snipped chives, crusty bread (butter optional)
Yum! And nice food photography too.

So the reason you live on the edge of the world is to keep everyone you’ve ever met from descending on your house for lunch, isn’t it? Sensible move I must say.

Hi, Hunter – I seem to have missed oyur comment previously. Apologies ofr seemingly ignoring you!
I was trying out my new 50mm f1.8 prime lens when I took those photographs. It seems that I used a variety of settings to explore the possibilities but mainly had the ISO set at 400, with flash suppressed and using only available light. I used aperture priority at f / 8.0, so shutter speeds vary.
In short, the lens did all the work.
