Bowled Over

I  have a couple of gifts to show and tell today.

The other day I was working at my computer, making posters for tomorrow’s spinning demo at the Heritage Centre, when Mr L asked me if I was expecting anybody calling. I wasn’t. I was entirely surprised to find Jim, the chap who  turns wooden tools for  Sanday Spinners, at the door.  He said that he had heard I had admired a bowl of his at the Show this year and he’d come to ask if I would like it.

He also gave me its close twin. They are lovely little bowls

and just perfect for doing this

Well… I was just about bowled over!

You can see more of Jim’s bowls on the Sanday Spinners web site. I recommend shopping early for Christmas…

The second gift came on Saturday from my neighbour and fellow spinner, Rosemary

She has been experimenting with my description of Portuguese Knitting Pins/Yarn Hooks and brought a box full to the Open Studio for Gill and I to choose one each. So now I am all set to continue my PK experiments!

Well, I count myself a lucky girl to be so favoured. Beautiful gifts!

There will be WIPpage tomorrow. I promise.
