Colloquialisms

Whne my daughter was in her teens, she would irritate me greatly by saying that some thing or other was “doing me ‘ead in.”

All these years on, this shawl edging enlightens me as to her intended meaning.

Getting close to screaming point now. BUT… have turned the third corner and am heading down the home straight (it grafts on the final corner.) The end is in sight now, truly… just about 4 hours away, at a guess. Perhaps another couple of films will see it done. (Must say that I thoroughly enjoyed Smart People, and also the BBC drama about Morecombe and Wise — top notch stuff that was.)

Have thoroughly impressed myself with my stickability where this project is concerned. I think I deserve a gold star.

Actually, I believe it may be the telly that is doing me ‘ead in… I feel as though I have square eyes.

The Scattered Thinker is somewhat past her prime, but not yet in any danger of giving up. In the Inter-world, she is often known as plumbum, or sometimes as ulygan. In the Real Life, she goes by the name of Beth. Beth is a roamer. She lives in a motorhome and has a backup static caravan that serves as a bolthole if needed. Bricks and mortar are very much a thing of the past. Contact Beth if you would like to correspond with paper and pen.

  1. Let me know when you need the extra blocking mats! :)

We can assess and discuss at Craft Club tonight — I think I shall need 9 but only have 8 here. More worrying is the issue of space. Where can I lay 9 mats out, safe from marauding felines?
