A silky muse

The first of my prizes from the recent competition held by the Colourmart Lovers group on Ravelry has arrived. It is a cone of silk yarn, donated by Rav user Kimaya.

A cone of super cobweb Schappe silk in a stunning lilac-ish shade of pink. It is truly inspiring and it was very difficult not to immediately go in search of pattern and needles! or maybe the loom…

I shall need to make something very special indeed from this cone.

Got any suggestions?

I cannot match this on the CM site, so I don’t know how many yards I have. It seems to be a 5 ply – I am guessing about 3,000.
