Green of the Day 25 March 2009

Moss Green
Moss Green

Moss growing on a wall by the side of the road – captured as I cycled to spinning group today. The ruin in the background is an old house by the name of Geramont (just one of several spellings I have seen for the place, don’t ask me if it’s the correct one – I don’t know!))

The wall is one of my favourite walls on the island – it is surprising just how the characteristics of the walls (dykes) changes as you travel about even such a small place as this. I hope to get out and about and document a few walls before the end of “North”.
