Stuffing

Last night culminated in a mammoth effort to get the table into the van. We elected to remove the legs from the table but this turned out to require brute strength, ignorance and the application of a large mallet. Eventually we had the table in and the legs back on but not before bed time was looming.

This morning I tried the table in different positions and orientations. There scan be little doubt that the table is oversized for the space but I think that I wish to keep it as it provides useful space for all manner of tasks from drum carding through skein winding and on to lace blocking.

To my great surprise, the table does actually fit to the rear side of the wheel arch

Today consisted mainly of trundling out to the caravan and back with my porter’s wheels.

I was back and forth all day

and the boxes piled up until the van was full

At lunch time I stopped off to brew up a vat of Broccoli and Smoked Cheese soup (delicious) and then dashed off to feed Gill’s caddy lambs and to let Tan out for a run.

She appeared to enjoy it as much as I had enjoyed my soup

and I returned at tea time to feed Tan and let her out again.

I seized the opportunity to take a few photographs

I even found time to begin unpacking the boxes in the van and to start filling the shelves. To complete my day I took my spinning wheel and chair out to the van. Tomorrow I am going to treat myself to a quiet hour of spinning out there, just to get the feel of it. Mr L tells me that I have a wee music box on the way.  I just need the pot plants now!
