A fabulous textile ATC from the Project Spectrum ATC “Fire” swap in today’s post from Helen Darmara. I don’t have any photos yet, but you can see the ATC, and its pair, on Helen’s blog. I knew it as soon as I saw it, that knitted leaf had to be from the Vintage sock pattern, as valiantly demonstrated recently by the Yarn Harlot

I bow to both Stephanie and Helen, two women with far more patience than I can muster.

The Vintage connection amuses me, for Helen is of a similar vintage to I – and it is rare that happens to be so. Most of my swapping activities seem to be with partners who are deeply enthralled by Hello Kitty or My Little Pony…

I am lagging on the Month in the Country prompts, and lagging badly at that. I have a list of prompts t be caught up on and I shall be working my way through them here, or at Scattered Thoughts depending on where the post most naturally sits. I have elected to tackle the prompts not in date order necessarily but to seize upon prompts that offer me space in which to write down the things that I am feeling the need to say.
