Oh what a circus! Oh what a show!

I love Show and Tell – and just look what I have to show you today!

My prize package from Rav user RogueKnit arrived today. We thought it had been lost in the post but it must just have been taking the long way around.

This is the prize that she donated for the Most Prolific Knitter class in the Colourmart Lovers competiton held earlier this year. I was expecting the embroidered project bag

Embroidery

Deborah had given me the choice of three and all were nice, but it was this orange and purple one that I really loved the best.

I also knew that inside it would  be some stitch markers and a lavender sachet

Lovely wee stitch markers

but the yarn and pattern also included were a complete surprise!

Shimmer

The yarn is an alpaca/silk hand-dyed laceweight from KitPicks, called Shimmer. The colour is called Fennel and is totally gorgeous – and very “me”. The Shimmer is very high in fondle quotient. 440 yards of soft and silky warmth.

Am I not a lucky girl?

Oh – the pattern included is for a Bomber Scarf, which it would seem is Deborah’s personal pattern made from elements published in books. Rav users can see her own versions here and here.

Take a look at  Deborah’s projects if you can – she makes me look like the cack-handed clunky beginner lace knitter that I truly am. I wish I were only half as good at blocking as she appears to be!

    You are too kind – I don’t block – I torture!
