New fibery fun

It’s a long story and rather more complicated than it should be but…

in today’s post was a parcel of Torch Island and Inferno rovings, plus a felting tool. I owe Copperpot many thanks. This means that I have an embarrassment of fibre, and will have not one but two felting tools at my disposal.

I hurt my back this morning – actually not so much my back but in the hip region. It went twang! when I emptied the dishwasher (always did hate dishwashers) and now I am having mucho mobility issues. Am pretty much confined to sitting in a straight back chair, so I seized my opportunity and I have been needle felting. Two pieces are under way. I don’t have much of a clue about what I am doing bit, for now, I am just trying to get a feel for the materials/tools/process.

Needle felting seems to be a lot of fun. I can see that I shall want to do a lot of this in the future. Pictures of my first attempts will be forthcoming, when light increases and pain subsides.

I think I would like a book on needle felting. Can anybody recommend a good inspirational one, please?
