Island Living…

Mr L popped out to the shop for emergency rations a while ago. He was gone longer than expected. We had need of a can of coconut milk for this evening’s Thai curry (can’t imagine why we allowed ourselves to run out of that!) He scrutinised the shelves but found none. The proprietor was busy chatting with another customer and so Mr L waited patiently to ask if they had any coconut milk. The answer, when it came, surprised him. There was some – "…all the baking goods are kept over here."

Green chicken curry and stir fried noodles with vegetables. Looking forward to that.

What I am not looking forward to is my imminent haircut. Bless him, he does try…

I can always wear a hat – that’s what I tell him. No worries what it looks like, so long as it isn’t blowing in my mouth and irritating me.

Speaking of hats, I think that I may knit one soon, with the solid club "crocus" yarn. A pattern has been identified, I just need to acquire some nice beads.

RAK knitting is going well and I am half done. Feeling twitchy though about mot making progress on the WIP pile. I’d like to tick off one or two more projects before the month is out – I am just aware of how long it is going to take to wash and dry the beast that I am currently knitting and thus I am concentrating on getting it off the needles asap.

It’s going to be a busy week, one way or another – there will be very little time for knitting of any sort. Two appointments tomorrow. On a Monday! Ugh.
