Back on the wagon and back on with the boots

We had rather fallen from the diet wagon in recent weeks but today saw me whipping up a quick 500 calories in the form of grilled salmon with pesto, accompanied by a huge pile of veggies dressed with garlic and lemon and a very few tiddly new potatoes. We’ll try to stick to it and I shall find ways of managing to keep on the straight and narrow when we are away in Brunhilde.

I might have mounted  the treadmill but the sun was shining. I checked the forecast and the Met Office told me that there was a better than 95% chance of my keeping dry. Hey ho – on with the boots, tripod in rucksack and camera about neck.

Today is of course Derelict Thursday over at Blipfoto and inspired by friedaquilter there, I headed off to Cross Kirk.

I came home with 85 images all told, not all from the kirkyard, and found it difficult to choose between these two for my daily Blip. The angel won.

I did not stay long nor did I slip onto Backaskaill beach – these two are the venue this month for our photowalking group and I should like to leave some things uncaptured for then. Here’s a few that I did bring home today

Two Snails was updated yesterday with details and photos from last weekend on the big island.

I’m still unpacking the van and I am still doing the laundry – both tasks seem endless. I suppose gallivanting with the camera for two hours is necessarily going to slow those processes down. Well. I know what I would prefer to be doing with my time.

Friedaquilter has a blog for her local kirkyard. I’m wondering if that would be a fun project for me to tackle.
