Who stole my title?

Where were we… Thursday, was it? Okayyyy, reading back, it was indeed Thursday and I was planning to spin the remaining roving in the second colour. That happened. Hurrah. Not only that but even though I had a visitor on Friday afternoon, I spun the remaining roving in the third colour and that was it. Ta, da! All done.  I made the final skeins of 3 ply and all of my yarn now awaits a bath.

The second entry for this year’s show has not yet started as I need to chain ply the extra singles of two of the North Ron colours but I hope to make a start either today or tomorrow.

The Argent curl is progressing well although I am not finding a great deal of time to spend on it. I have used up half of my first skein so by necessity the thing is 25% completed. I do seem to have a chance of having it exhibited his year.

Saturday began brilliantly and I slept my way through it. When I finally rose at 11:30, Mr L imparted the news that the Air Ambulance was coming to visit at 1:30.  I chucked the camera battery on to charge, grabbed a bowl of cereal, sliced and salted some aubergine, and got ready for a walk. Mr L was busy replacing a loose floor tile and topping cupboards with worktops.

By the time that we left the house the weather was looking rather unexciting. 100 metres down the road, the rain began. It became heavier and we were glad of the shelter offered by one of the houses along by the Peedie Sea. We hung out, trying to keep my camera dry for ten minutes or so before the shower passed on. By the time that we reached the airfield everything was steaming gently in the sun.

On the walk back home I managed to snap quite a few nice photographs, mostly of the “Beautiful Decay” persuasion. There’s lots of rust and decay on that route and I can spend many a happy hour capturing it at any time of the year.

I had planned to cook a Moussaka for dinner but by the time that we had arrived home my back was complaining bitterly and we opted for a chip supper takeaway from the pub – after which I did my plying and he played guitar. Nell sang.

My back is little better today but I shall get that Moussaka on to cook soon and now that I have some cupboards restored to me I must go and fill them and get my life reorganised. Hopefully I will find time to add some rows to my scarf too. One other thing waiting to be done is this month’s The Changing Seasons post. Hopefully I can tackle that tomorrow.
