Another busy day today.
Luckily after supper the weather was good and the tide, a spring tide, was out – so we donned our wellies and grabbed the dog and went out to enjoy ourselves for an hour.
Nell found a bone. I’m pretty sure it’s a cervical vertebra but probably somebody will be along to put me right on that one
What do you suppose it belonged to?
We walked along the dry sand to The Ouse (no, not that one), to look for seals. There were none, though we could hear some distant ones singing. What we did see was a cloud of Terns, a nesting colony over at Elsness. We spent some time enjoying them.

Then we walked along The Ouse and down to the edge of the sea, where we were hypnotised by the encroaching water that seemed to be approaching at an amazing speed. As Mr L pointe dout, the tide was a long way out and had yet to come a long way in, being a spring tide. It has to rush!
That’s my lot for today, no fancy editing or anything. I’m tired.
Best do the weather, though!
