What a yarn

Today just keeps on improving – Sinclair’s have just been and dropped off my Colinette package.

If I had known that it had been sent by Courier delivery I would not have been worried but the site clearly states:

Shipping to mainland UK is sent via Royal Mail and is recorded for items over 150g in weight.

The Royal Mail would have  had it here by last Saturday. Courier delivery service  to the isles is appalling.

Anyway – I have yarn! Lots of yarn. Stupendous quantities of gorgeous yarn!

How exciting.

Sadly the delivery arrived so late as to hamper the photography process – there is little available light. I may have to do the pics again at some point.

Of course, I shall have to get the swift and ball winder out. I shall be at it for a while, there are two packs of 800 grams here:  4,000 metres in total.

All that I have to do now is to decide which pack is for making a throw and which is to make me a free-form knitted jacket.

Oh and which project to start on!

The blanket needs 8mm needles – I’m not sure that I have any…

Home from Melle, we set about cleaning the van in preparation for going out again. At the moment we are hoping to go out for at least one night every week in continuing efforts to break the cats in (or down!) Mr Snail was cleaning the bathroom. Although we haven’t used the shower we had… Continue reading Van Nessa : Her Leak

Deeply disappointed by our early return from the Dordogne and buoyed up by slightly cooler weather we effected our plan to go out “little and often” in an attempt to train the cats for living in the new van.
