A dark wet windswept day today. All energy is being sapped and nothing much is happening at all… especially in the kitchen, where plans for today have stalled. Where are all the good films when you need them?

Dinner tonight was freshly-made tagliatelle egg pasta with a sauce made from white wine, dolcelatte and brie, with mushrooms – all served with a walnut salad. Absolutely gorgeous.
