Shearing
Jun 20th, 2009 | By wool gatherer | Category: Island LifeLast Saturday (my goodness, was it really a full week ago?) I took our visitor from Tokyo up to Hillside and we joined SpinningGill at her sheep shearing. My stated intention was to take a set of photographs suitable for the revamping of a website that Gill and I share, but I ended up staying for the full afternoon’s shearing. I took 65 photographs, drank quite a lot of tea, and learned a lot about the principles of shearing.

Here is the evidence:
I also strayed a little with my camera and took some peeling paint shots. . . (more at Flickr)
There’s a set of shots at Flickr – or view them in this slideshow (26 images)

She was a very patient sheep as well!
