Fair Exchange is no Robbery

I recently swapped the remaining Kauni Rainbow EQ for two skeins of Malabrigo Merino Worsted.

Here they are

The first is named Vaa and is a really dark green, tartan-ish, like Black Watch green perhaps. Maybe darker.

The second is called Noviembre – most appropriately, because it reminds me of the last faded rose of the year, struggling valiantly on in the face of November’s frost. It has the dark green and brownish yellow of the rose’s foliage together with the deep rose pink of the unaffected petals and  the bleached-out shade of the outer ravaged ones.

In short, it is a stunning yarn.

Dying Roses

So stunning, in fact, that I am itching to knit it up right now. It has green in it. Will that do?
