Fleecy
The parcel of fleeces from Yorkshire Woollybacks arrived today. Phew. Would not have wanted that to get mixed up in the Orkney Ferries industrial dispute. Sadly, no sign of the silk for my Clapotis yet.
I haven’t opened the fleece yet - I’ll keep the packaging whole, ready for tomorrow - to take to spinning group for divvying up. There’s just one thing wrong… I won’t be able to get that lot on my bike. My knees are quaking at the notion of driving. Ugh.
I’ve been quiet, mostly because things here seem to be hectic. I’m not getting much knitting time, but sock #3 has reached the end of the gusset shaping. My decorated envelopes, due in, are still at the 3 out of 10 stage. There has been no progress on the mono collage. I’ve done no spinning since last Wednesday afternoon. I have done a (little) bit of drawing and I have been out and about on my bike and walking and with the camera. I haven’t found time to edit the photos yet, but will get there soon. Mainly I have been doing webby stuff, I think. All of yesterday was spent webbing. Today was Pension Planning *groan*
Still to do today: trip to Orkney Angora, to explore some ideas about dyeing and to maybe get some angora yarn for making bedsocks. Also I need to make cake for spinning group and a pie for Mr L’s lunch while I am out.
It’s all go. Wish that silk would arrive.
Here’s a tunnip:
